Endocrinologist

This is Tom. Our energetic and friendly endocrinologist.

Tom is passionate about being part of a multidisciplinary team and working collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient.

Tom started his career as a junior doctor on the Central Coast of New South Wales before moving to Adelaide, where he completed three years of basic physician training. He became the chief medical resident and medical education registrar at the Lyell McEwin Hospital. He then completed advanced training in endocrinology at the Flinders Medical Centre and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals, before gaining fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), Adelaide Clinical Endocrine Society, Australian Diabetes Society (ADS), Endocrine Society of Australia (ESA) and the US Endocrine Society.

Tom is an associate lecturer at Flinders University and has also delivered lectures for the Rural Doctors Workforce Association, Diabetes SA and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Toms ideal day off work would include a morning trail run with friends followed by an afternoon with his young family at the beach, visiting a winery or relaxing at home while watching the cricket or footy.
